We are mobilizing resources to nourish the Jewish movement for justice and liberation.

Introducing the Jewish Liberation Fund: Fueling the Jewish movement for justice and liberation. Music: Batya Levine "We Rise" - used with permission Transcript: For centuries, Jews around the world have come together to fight back against oppression, and fulfill the mitzvah - the obligation - of working to create a better world. From Mitzrayim to Shushan, from the streets of Babylon, Vienna, Berlin, and Paris to Johannesburg, Selma, New York, and Ferguson. In the movements for working people, racial justice, feminism, queer and trans liberation, and immigrant justice; in movements against Apartheid, war, fascism, and white supremacy - we have joined with our friends and neighbors in pursuit of a world that offers dignity, safety, and justice for all. Today, we are writing the next chapter in this story. The Jewish Liberation Fund is working to ensure that today’s Jewish movement for justice and liberation has the resources it needs to grow and thrive, to win powerful victories for humanity, and to bring forth shleimut - wholeness - bimheirah b’yameinu - speedily and in our days. For too long, Jewish philanthropy has been the domain of the one percent. We are here to change that. The Jewish Liberation Fund is a people’s fund. Led - and funded - by our movement: we are accountable to each other. We have not made it this far alone, and we need you to carry this movement forward. Join us.

Dayenu! Together, we will have enough!

Jewish Liberation Fund is grounded in the belief that the American Jewish community has enough resources to bring forth the liberatory world of which we dream.

Our Vision →

Values-aligned Jewish money funding justice and liberation-driven Jewish life.

In Jewish communities around the country, innovative leaders are taking action in pursuit of transformative visions of justice and liberation. People are coming together to organize political power, to build spiritual community, and to create art and music to inspire and sustain our movements. Since 2020, JLF has granted nearly two million dollars to resourcing over 40 organizations in the Jewish social justice ecosystem.

If we want a vibrant, inclusive, and liberatory Jewish future, we have to fund it.

Many Jewish funders have either implicit or explicit policies and practices that serve to maintain structures of oppression. This has massive silencing effects on Jewish organizations, and on our movement as a whole. The Jewish Liberation Fund aims to break those norms by practicing participatory philanthropy, putting our trust in movement leaders to make funding decisions.
