Who should apply for JLF Grants

JLF supports progressive Jewish movement-building work in the United States through grants administered by Proteus Fund, a U.S. public charity recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. As a result, we have basic legal and organizational requirements for who should apply.

Additionally, JLF resources the Jewish progressive movement in the United States. Thus, to receive a JLF Grant, we have a series of baseline criteria to ensure applying organizations are part of this movement and a series of grantmaking priorities that help us identify whether the organizations we fund advance progressive systems-change work and align with our values.
