JLF Grant Categories and Structure
Grants for Courageous Action, Community Leadership, and Connecting the Movement (CCC)
Grants for Courageous Action, Community Leadership, and Connecting the Movement are for organizations that are leaders in the progressive Jewish movement. These organizations make a substantial impact on our movement via a diverse set of approaches. If you see yourself as a leader in the progressive Jewish movement in some capacity, you may apply in this category. We expect this category to comprise a broad set of organizations of all sizes.

Grants for Individual Artists (with Fiscal Sponsorship)
Grants for Individual Artists provide individual artists and cultural workers with more time, space, and resources to create work in service of our movements, subsidizing labor, rehearsal space, travel, materials, and administrative support.
These grants will support artists to take the time they need to deepen their impact and bring their most powerful and prophetic voices to our shared work.
Please note: Artist collectives, arts & culture organizations looking to cover general operating expenses, including the distribution of existing work, please apply through our “Grants for Courageous Action, Community Leadership, and Connecting the Movement” track.

Seed Grants
Seed grants are for emergent or early-stage organizations doing experimental work to fill gaps they see in the Jewish progressive movement ecosystem, locally or nationally. The goal of these grants is to “seed” experimentation and ideation to creatively meet needs in the Jewish progressive movement identified by organizational leaders. Given the robust ecosystem oforganizations that already exists, we'll be looking for organizations that demonstrate an understanding of our existing landscape and plan to fill a real gap that exists in the Jewish community, locally or nationally.

Applicants must have been created or have a substantial area of their work that has emerged within the last five years
